The Balwyn Tigers are proud to announce that Scott Edwards, captain of the Netherlands national team, will be joining the club for the 2025/26 season. Despite a demanding international schedule, Scott has committed to playing throughout the season when available, and welcome him aboard.

An experienced international cricketer, Scott has represented his country 148 times on the world stage, including multiple World Cups. He is also a former Ryder Medalist, recognised as one of the premier players in Victorian Premier Cricket. His knowledge, composure under pressure, and elite-level experience will be a major asset both on and off the field.

Scott reunites with former teammates Andrew Chalkley and Lachie Fitzpatrick from their Richmond days, bringing that camaraderie and connection into the heart of our senior playing group. We’re beyond excited to welcome someone of Scott’s calibre to Balwyn; a terrific person, a strong leader, and someone whose wisdom will be invaluable to our young and emerging squad.
